For example, one roll film that we developed showed a secret drawer that we could open in the STARS office, which led us to some high grade gunpowder. Roll film items in Resident Evil 2 will always give you clues as to the locations of hidden secrets within the game. With this done, you can now see what the film actually depicts. Interact with the sink itself and use the roll film, and you’ll be able to instantly develop the roll film. Now head through the open door at the back of the room and turn left, and you’ll find yourself facing the dark room sink. Open this door, and you’ll find yourself in one of the many unnamed safe rooms in Resident Evil 2. When you reach the foot of the stairs turn right, and you’ll see a door in the corner of the area. Head through the west office through the main hall, and turn right when you’re out in the open corridor, heading in the direction of the stairwell. The easiest dark room sink to reach in Resident Evil 2 is in the Raccoon City police department, on the first floor. If you pull up the map by pressing the touchpad on the DualShock 4 or the View button on the Xbox One controller, you’ll see that all dark room sinks are highlighted with an exclamation mark on the map. So, once you’ve picked up a roll film, what do you need to do next? You need to now make it to a ‘dark room sink’ location in the game. Although they can be found scattered throughout the whole of Resident Evil 2, you’re going to find a fair few roll film items in the Raccoon City police station. This item is exactly what it says on the tin: a roll of undeveloped film, straight out of a camera that my mom would’ve used back in the 90’s. Occasionally in Resident Evil 2, you’re going to come across the ‘roll film’ item.
